Project SUN
The EDC is proud to formally announce the recruitment of PV Circonomy and EasyCycle Online, two Taiwanese green technology companies. They've announced plans to develop their first U.S. processing facility and office in Southwest Riverside County. Click here to learn more.

This recruitment is significant as it brings new technology to the United States. Our region is now home to this award-winning technology that recovers 99% of materials from used solar panels that would otherwise end up in the landfill, making the solar industry even greener.

Thank you to our partners at the City of Menifee, the City of Temecula, and UCR for their help in welcoming these two new companies!
Student Internship Opportunities
As you may know, the EDC has been working with local manufacturers and Valerie Backus of Murrieta Valley Unified School District to expand internship opportunities in the region for employers and students. We currently have two new student internship opportunities for Summer 2024 available on our website.

Students can apply for these positions on our Student Internships page. Click here for more information.

Employers who are still interested in hosting interns can submit their internship by clicking here.
Inner Mongolian Delegation Tour
On May 22nd, the City of Temecula welcomed delegates from Inner Mongolia to City Hall for a tour and meeting. We enjoyed a cultural presentation from the delegates and had the opportunity to discuss the many connections between our communities. Mayor Stewart was present to participate in the conversation and share the unique history of Temecula. We would like to thank our new friends for taking the time to visit us and are looking forward to future meetings.
TechSouthwest

The next TechSouthwest meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 11th at 3:30 via Zoom. If you're interested in attending this meeting, click here to register.

The application for the first round of Catalyst Funding opened on May 30th. We strongly encourage anyone working in the areas of job creation, uplifting disadvantaged communities, and improving the climate to consider applying. To apply, click here. This first funding round closes on June 24th.

There are three different funding "lanes":

Please note that moving forward, all Thrive Inland SoCal meetings will be held virtually via Zoom.
Colorado River Tour
Our Executive Director, Connie Stopher CEcD, recently toured the Hoover Dam and the Colorado River on a water infrastructure inspection tour. This infrastructure is critical to the growth and sustainability of the region. The EDC thanks Eastern Municipal Water District and Metropolitan Water District for their commitment to responsibly providing clean and reliable high-quality water.
June Board Meeting
Our next board meeting will be held on June 6th, 2024 at 9 am. Thank you to the City of Temecula, who will be hosting us at the Conference Center located at City Hall. Our guest speaker will be Jay Goth, CEO of Redtail Capital and Murrieta Genomics.
Call for Nominations
Our June meeting is when we annually elect our Board of Directors. We have seats at each level up for renewal as well as one open seat at the Silver level.

All of our Executive Committee seats are also up for renewal. We have received two nominations for President and a nomination for Secretary.
