2024 Excellence in Economic Development Award We're excited to announce that our Commuter Workforce Campaign has won a 2024 Excellence in Economic Development Award from the IEDC! EDC Board Retreat Recap Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second annual EDC Board Retreat hosted by Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball. This event is where the board directors get to know each other and help set the direction for the organization. They tackled board member responsibilities, updated the work plan, developed elevator pitches, and set organizational goals for the next two years. There are a lot of great things on the horizon! We also established that Cheryl Fuchigami-Bost is the queen of team-building exercises, so make sure she's on your team next time! We are busy compiling all the feedback and ideas that were generated. Stay tuned for an updated work plan, a new board policy manual, board director resources, and more! We'd like to thank the Storm for hosting the event and providing an ideal location for the retreat. Thrive Catalyst Funding: Round 2 Update The second round of Thrive Catalyst Funding begins on September 24th and will be available for application through October 18th. We strongly encourage anyone working in the areas of job creation, uplifting disadvantaged communities, and improving the climate to consider applying.  As a reminder, there are three different funding "lanes": Lane A: Early phase ideas = funding up to $25K Lane B: Reading for investment and job creation = funding up to $250K Lane C: Needs final funding to begin development = funding up to $1 million For questions, please reach out to Connie at [email protected].    2024 State of Riverside County The 2024 State of Riverside County will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 7 to 10am at Pechanga Resort and Casino. The event program will focus on current year updates as well as future projects and goals.
